The land enclosed by Orchid bay is both green and fertile and covered with wild orchids, coco palms and almond trees . There are two beaches areas ,one longer and fringed with palms and the other containing both sandy areas and tidal pools.
The area is magnificent in its natural beauty and is located on the north coast of the Dominican Republic along what is called the Costa Verde or “green coast.” Here the soil is incredibly fertile and the hills are covered in tropical forest and fruit trees. The climate is mild and tempered by a fairly constant offshore trade wind breeze. Temperatures range year round between about 70-85°F and only rarely exceed 90°F in the summer months. This, along with the excellent local beer “El Presidente”, contribute to a general state of well being.
